Job Posting: RN - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Presbyterian Hospital, Albuquerque, NM 87106
Position Details:
- Schedule: 36 hrs/week, 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM start)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (extension possible)
- Pay: $26/hr (W2) $1,568 weekly stipend; $2,500 gross weekly
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in an 18 bed telemetry/progressive care unit. Must have completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required (must be from AHA, American Health & Safety, or Red Cross).
- Licensure: Active NM or compact license.
- EMR: EPIC experience preferred.
- Additional Skills: Must pass BCA testing during the first week.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced telemetry/PCU setting.
- Provide care in alternate locations (within 20 miles) as needed, including ED and urgent care facilities.
- Float as required to fulfill staffing needs.
Shift Details:
- 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM start).
- 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule.
- On-call, weekends, and holidays as required.
Other Information:
- Orientation: 1st week, up to 40 hours, including EPIC training.
- Scrubs: Required but not provided by the facility.
- Travel Rules: 75-mile straight-line radius rule; no local travelers.
