Responsibilities

Business Office Manager

Pembroke Hospital is a 120-bed acute care, inpatient behavioral health facility located south of Boston, in Pembroke, MA. Situated on 26 acres, we offer inpatient and partial hospitalization treatment to teens, adults and older adults, and our services are designed to assess, stabilize, and treat patients by addressing their primary symptoms and problems. At Pembroke Hospital, all positions begin and end with caring for the Patient. By Listening Deeply and Understanding the Story of our Patients, we will Make a Difference in the Lives we Touch.

The Business Office Manager is responsible for hands on management of all daily activities of the business office, including billing, collection, and A/R management functions. The Business Office Manager analyzes and reports on managed care, third party reimbursement, management of accounts receivable, i.e., bad debt and cash collections. The Business Office Manager routinely meets with direct reports to review their individual results and identifies opportunities to improve performance (productivity, quality, collections). The Business Office Manager trains, coaches, and counsels staff members in an effort to develop staff improve teamwork, morale and overall team performance/results.

Qualifications

Business Office Manager Job Requirements:

  • 5 years of healthcare finance, general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and collections experience.
  • 3 years of positive and empowering leadership experience required.
