Responsibilities

Director of Clinical Services

Michiana Behavioral Health, an 80-bed Behavioral Health facility located in Plymouth, Indiana is currently seeking an experienced Director of Clinical Services. Michiana Behavioral Health is part of the Universal Health Services (UHS) organization and as a result, offers stability, tremendous support, career development opportunities and competitive benefits and compensation package to the selected candidate.

The Director of Clinical Services will:

  • Be responsible for the supervision of the daily operation of Clinical Services by providing management, administrative and professional support.
  • Be responsible to provide leadership and supervision to all staff Social Workers, Activity Therapy Department and Education.
  • Provide leadership with consideration of the organization as a whole; promoting an atmosphere of respect and encouragement for professional growth for all clinical staff members.
  • Collaborate with other hospital leaders on all matters relevant to the delivery of quality patient care services
  • Continually assess the utilization of the collaborative process among the Clinical Services staff at all levels and other disciplines/departments to ensure organized, comprehensive, efficient, and effective patient care.

Qualifications

Qualified applicants must possess: 

  • A Master’s Degree in a related field; LCSW required.
  • A strong customer and patient focus.
  • A strong background in Evidenced Based Therapy, DBT preferred.
  • A commitment to fostering an active learning environment and maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
  • Working knowledge of the Addiction & Recovery field and experience in clinical interviewing, patient assessment, family motivation, treatment planning, communicating with external review organizations or comparable entities, and working effectively with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Minimum of five years of direct clinical experience.
  • Minimum of three years management experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting.
  • Hospital operations and budgetary processes experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA regulations and all state and federal regulatory standards required.
