Responsibilities

Intermountain Hospital is looking for a dynamic Transport Driver! If you have a desire to work in an engaging environment with a team of professionals dedicated to the healing and health of the patients we serve, we want to hear from you! 

Shift:  PRN days, Monday through Friday

Intermountain Hospital, located in Boise, has been providing quality psychiatric and chemical dependency services to Idaho's Treasure Valley and the western US since 1980. This 151-bed facility is located on 10 beautiful acres near the foothills of Idaho's dramatic Sawtooth Mountains. Our Driver is responsible for providing safe transportation for clients to and from the facility. The Driver will assist clients in a pleasant and respectful manner and assist clients with boarding and departing vehicles.

Qualifications

Education: High School Graduate or equivalent. Experience transporting clientele preferred. Current driver's license within the State of Idaho with an excellent driving record. CPR certification is required (we will train).

Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with patients and co-workers. Ability to adhere to safety policies and procedures. Ability to use good judgment and to maintain confidentiality of information. Ability to work as a team player. Ability to demonstrate tact, resourcefulness, patience and dedication. Ability to problem solve, utilizing good judgment. Ability to accept direction and adhere to policies and procedures. Ability to recognize the importance of adapting to the various patient age groups (adolescent, adult and geriatric). Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to meet deadlines. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situation.
