The Intake Counselor provides telephonic and in-person assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care, facilitates the admission process, and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients, and unit

Roxbury, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, is a 112-bed behavioral healthcare facility located in Shippensburg, PA. Our 52-bed acute adult and adolescent psychiatric units treating individuals with mental illnesses who need short-term hospitalization. In our 60-bed chemical dependency unit, detoxification is conducted under close medical supervision for adults dealing with substance abuse issues.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree highly preferred from an accredited college in Psychology or another related field: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in Psychology or other related field required OR licensed nurse with a minimum of one year experience in a behavioral healthcare environment required. Prior experience in behavioral healthcare/admissions preferred
