Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is a freestanding, 122 bed facility specializing in general adult psych, adolescents, geriatric, and women's services. The hospital is located in southwest Houston serving the Houston and surrounding communities. Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is conveniently located between the Galleria and Meyer land shopping districts, and is only minutes away from the Houston Medical Center, Downtown, and Midtown. Our continuum of care includes inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services to stabilize symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other behavioral health disorders.

Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is seeking caring and compassionate Licensed Vocation Nurses (LVN) with experience or interest in psychiatric nursing or behavioral health to be a part of our growing team. Working under the direction of the RN, the Licensed Vocation Nurse (LVN), provides nursing care through collaborative efforts with the interdisciplinary treatment team and in accordance with the nursing process and standards of care and practice to assigned patients, utilizing basic understanding of psychiatric and personality disorders.

Licensed Vocation Nurse (LVN) Shifts:

Day Shift-7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Night Shift- 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Qualifications

Licensed Vocation Nurse (LVN) Position Requirements:

Education: Graduate from accredited professional vocational school of nursing

Experience: One year prior behavioral health experience preferred.

Licensure: Currently licensed to practice vocational/practical nursing from the State Board of Nursing

Certifications: Successful completion of CPR and Handle With Care certification; certifications may be obtained during orientation.
