UHS of Delaware, Inc. is Hiring a MAINTENANCE TECH Near COLORADO SPRINGS, CO

Responsibilities

Compensation (Pay Rate): $21.00-$28.00/hr

About the Position: The maintenance technician performs routine maintenance and repairs of buildings, equipment, and utility systems; performs scheduled preventative maintenance inspections; works on special projects as requested, performs required safety inspections. This is a part time position and does require being on-call every two weeks.

Cedar Springs Hospital COVID-19 vaccination mandate:

In accordance with Colorado state public health order, all healthcare workers must be vaccinated, and the Company must verify vaccine status. Pursuant to this public health order, the following modes constitute as proof of vaccination:

    • an electronic entry in the Colorado Immunization Information System (CIIS); OR
    • an immunization record from a licensed healthcare provider who has administered a COVID-19 vaccine to an individual who provides services for the facility or agency, specifying the vaccine administered, name and title of the person who administered the vaccine, address of the location where the vaccine was administered, and the date it was administered. A

COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card (issued by the Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Disease Control & Prevention or WHO Yellow Card) which includes name of person vaccinated, type of vaccine provided, and date last dose administered would suffice.

Exemptions

  • Workers may be exempt from the vaccination requirements by providing a signed exemption form indicating one of the following:
  • a. Religious Beliefs

    b. Qualifying Medical Reason

  • To be eligible for an exemption based on Religious Beliefs, the worker must provide a written statement describing the worker’s sincerely held religious beliefs and how those beliefs conflict with Colorado’s August 21, 2021 Public Health Order requiring certain healthcare workers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The company may request supporting documentation to further evaluate the request for religious accommodation.
  • 3. To be eligible for a Qualified Medical Reason exemption, the worker must provide a written statement signed by a physician, physician assistant, advanced practice nurse, or certified nurse midwife licensed in the State of Colorado stating that the COVID-19 vaccination for the employee, direct contractor, or support staff is medically contraindicated as described in the product labeling or authorized by the FDA. This statement should not describe the underlying medical condition or disability but should indicate the probable duration of the inability to receive the vaccine.

    4. A record of signed exemption forms and statements submitted in support of the exemption request must be maintained in a confidential HR Medical file, separate from the Personnel File.

    Qualifications

    Physical Requirements:

    *Position requires walking, standing sitting for prolonged periods of time.

    *Occasional heavy lifting of 50 to 100 pounds. Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds

    *Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity, and hand-eye coordination.

    *Requires frequent pushing, pulling, kneeling, grasping, stooping and constant bending

    *Requires occasional heavy lowering up to 100 pounds.

    *Must be able to speak, read and write.

    *Must have a valid Colorado driver's license. Must be able to drive a vehicle.

    *Emotional stability necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.

    *Vision and hearing sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.

    Skills and Education Requirement:

    Basic working knowledge of all mechanical systems; electrical, plumbing, & carpentry. Ability to handle multiple tasks in different buildings simultaneously. Mental & emotional ability to accept interruptions and changes in work schedules. Ability to prioritize work by level of patient safety and comfort. Ability to be on-call for any emergency that may occur at our facility.

    High school graduate or equivalent. Prefer trade or technical school courses. Minimum of 3 years commercial building maintenance, healthcare setting preferred. Must have Colorado driver's license with good driving record.
