Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Medical Office Specialist for our Lake Elsinore location. This position pays $16.00 to $21.00/hr DOE and is individual is responsible for overall functioning of the medical office, which includes:

  • Patient scheduling, check in, check out.
  • Sending/receiving patient medical records; obtaining lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, referral information, etc.

  • Completing forms/requisitions as needed.

  • Verifying insurance coverage and patient demographics.

  • Managing charts to ensure information is completed and accurate.

  • Performs clerical duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience/Training/Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • One (1) year related experience required. 
  • Medical Terminology and basic mathematical calculations, basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Computer proficiency
  • Knowledge of medical clinic functions (scheduling, billing, insurance verifications and authorizations, ICD9 and CPT4 coding, patient procedures, medical records) required.

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Current BLS/CPR certification required.
