Roxbury is currently recruiting for a full-itme Nurse Educator in our nursing department. This position coordinates the education program for Roxbury Treatment Center's nursing deparment, and other departments as needed. Responsibilities include conducting an on-going assessment of staff education needs; coordinating the development of programs to meet staff needs; and evaluating staff response to staff development programs for Roxbury Treatment Center. The Nurse Educator also plans, develops, implements and evaluates orientation, transfer, training, cross-training, continuing education programming, and staff growth and development activities for nursing department. The position also consults and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members and other healthcare professionals/providers in identification and resolution of identified issues.

Roxbury Treatment Center is a STAR LRP-approved facility. STAR LRP is a Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Loan Repayment Program, and is intended for individuals working in either a full-time substance use disorder (SUD) treatment job that involves direct patient care in a county where drug overdose death rate exceed the most current national average overdose death rate per 100,000 people, as reported by the CDC; or Mental Health Professional Shortage Area. As such, staff with 6 or more years of service would be able to have their student loans paid off (up to $250,000).

Qualifications

Education And Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in Psychology or other related field OR licensed nurse with a minimum of two years of experience in a behavioral healthcare environment required. Prior experience in a behavioral healthcare environment to assure understanding of systems management, time management, and staff development preferred.

Licensure & Certification:

Licensure and registration by the Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners as a licensed practical nurse or registered nurse, if no related degree required.
