Mayhill Hospital located in Denton, TX just north of Dallas and Fort Worth, is a 59-bed private psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care for adults and seniors. We are one of the few facilities in the area that can provide care to those individuals with both coexisting psychiatric and medical conditions. We are uniquely trained to provide care to seniors who have exhausted their psychiatric days. Position Summary
The Staff Nurse (R.N.) is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.
This opportunity provides the following:
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility preferred.
Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
Additional Requirements: CPR certification and training in appropriate use of CPI Non-violent Crisis Intervention before on the unit orientation and prior to assisting in a restraining process. Must pass a medication administration exam and complete a basic developmental competency exam.
