The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced M365 Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Microsoft 365 services and architecture, and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing M365 solutions that align with our business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Solution Design: Develop comprehensive M365 architectures to support business processes and objectives.
- Implementation: Lead the implementation of M365 solutions, ensuring they are aligned with best practices and company standards.
- Management: Oversee the management and optimization of existing M365 environments to ensure they are secure, efficient, and scalable.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure successful project execution and integration.
- Innovation: Stay current with the latest M365 features and updates and recommend innovative solutions to improve business processes.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed architectural documentation, including design specifications, implementation plans, and operational procedures.
- Support: Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for M365-related issues.
- Training: Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate staff on M365 best practices and usage.
Competencies
Must-Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in M365 Architect roles
- Experience designing and building Microsoft 365 roadmaps for mid-size to large companies
- Skilled in designing, building, and maintaining PowerShell scripts for Microsoft 365 services
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Power Platform
- Strong understanding of security and compliance frameworks related to M365
- Proven experience in project management and leading technical projects
Nice-to-Haves
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Microsoft 365 Certified Enterprise Administrator Expert
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments and integrations
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
- Knowledge of Azure services and their integration with M365
- Familiarity with other non-Microsoft tools and applications that may need to be integrated within the Microsoft 365 solutions, such as Okta
