What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ice Cream Stacker position at Umpqua Dairy?
Stack, wrap, and label Ice cream on a pallet as it is being produced. Assist with all housekeeping responsibilities maintain an efficient work environment, promote teamwork and ensure we produce the highest quality dairy products available in the marketplace. Wage range for this position is $21.60 - $24.00.
Stack, wrap, and label pallets of Ice Cream
Maintain an accurate tally sheet for the Ice Cream that has been stacked
Install/remove roller rack for production
Cut, and stack cardboard slip sheets
Wipe black plastic pallets with eco-Wipes, and return to Convocan area
Retrieve, and stage inclusions as needed
Return inclusions as needed
Report any damaged inclusions to the supervisor
Empty trash cans
Sweep floor
Turn foot foamer on/off
Make sure there is enough plastic wrap for the production day
Empty trash from production during washouts
Remove buckets from production, and place in bucket bins, and wrap if necessary
Operate walking stacker in a safe manner
Retrieve/return Toyota Stacker to charging station
Change labels, and carbon paper on three gallon labeler
Help Ice Cream makers as needed
Maintain damaged product report
Train new hires in the stacking position
Report any safety issues to the Supervisor
Remove damaged product from the production line
Other duties as assigned
18 years of age or older
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
Ability to work at a fast pace in a hot/humid environment
Ability to work at a fast pace in subzero environment
Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to work under pressure
Must be dependable and responsible
Ability to maintain good work relations
Ability to handle repetitive motions for long periods of time such as twisting, bending, reaching and stirring
Ability to lift 50lbs, work with heavy tools and equipment.
