Position Summary: The Research Assistant completes proper legal documents to process garnishments and levies, verification of deposit, standard bank confirmation, date of deaths, certificate of proof of possession, Department of Health and Human Services, Social Services, Department of Veterans, pledged securities, and mortgage loan requests from customers and other agencies with proper authorizations. This position also provides research support to branches, departments, and customers.

Essential Functions:
- Completes proper legal documents to process verification of deposits, standard bank confirmation, date of deaths, certificate of proof of possession, Department of Health and Human Services, Social Services, Department of Veterans, pledged securities, Audits, and mortgage loan requests from customers and other agencies with proper authorizations.
- Complete court received Garnishments, Levies, and Deliver Orders per Compliance procedures.
- Provide support to branches and departments regarding research on accounts.
- Make adjusting and correcting entries with accuracy.
- Acts as backup for other research inquiries.
- Independently, complete monthly performance volume tracking within performance reports.
- Ensure accuracy and confidentiality when releasing financial information.
- Review documentation for accuracy regarding all legal documents that are processed.
- Ensures desk procedures are current and up to date.
- Be alert to deviation from bank policies and procedures.
- Alert Supervisor and/or Security Officer to forgeries or suspicious activity.
- Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws and regulations applicable to their role. Complete compliance training; follow internal processes and controls as required.
- Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Performs other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required.
- Previous banking experience preferred.
- Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office Products, Fiserv and in working with other company software.

Working Environment:
