Description : Position Summary
With a customer service orientation, Physical Therapy Aide is a member of the physical therapy support team, working under the supervision of physical and occupational therapists, helping patients regain movement and manage pain after injuries and illnesses.
Requirements :
Key Responsibilities & Duties include, but are not limited to :
- Assists with patient intake
- Prepares and sets up items and modalities for patient treatment including equipment, hot and cold packs, etc.
- Transports patients within facility for treatment(s)
- Observes patients before, during and after therapy, noting the patients’ status and reporting to a physical therapist
- Liaises with physicians' offices and hospital personnel
- Maintains a clean and functional area for treatments and exercises
- Assists patients who need help moving from one area to another
- Handles clerical duties such as patient intake, coordinates with referring doctors' offices and documents patients' responses and progress during exercises.
- Possesses the ability to be versatile, flexible, and willing to work with enthusiasm
