Summary/Objective
Assists management with ensuring overall accuracy and integrity of financial data and is responsible for the more advanced general ledgers and critical accounting responsibilities. Manages accounting functions and preparation of reports and statistics reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances, and other financial results. Administers approved accounting practices throughout the organization to ensure that financial operating reports accurately reflect the conditions of the business and provide reliable information necessary to control operations.
Essential Functions

- Performs daily management of the bank’s cash reserves and funds positions and daily review of wire log and general ledger
- Reviews BND Safekeeping advices and statements and makes entries as necessary. Monthly reconciliation of the bond accounting reports to the general ledgers. Make general ledger entries to correspond with monthly bond accounting reports. Calculates and makes general ledger entries to reflect FMAC gain/loss quarterly.
- Reviews and files copies of correspondent bank reconciliations and analysis systems
- Completes monthly reconciliation of the Discount Points and Fees and Loan Fees general ledger accounts
- Completes monthly review of the MX Merchant and MX ISO Agent statements – makes entries as necessary
- Prepares monthly financial statements
- Completes monthly data inputs for the IRRM model
- Reviews and reconciles IntraFi reciprocal account statements to general ledger report as needed, and submits quarterly reconciliations
- Processes and submits monthly withheld federal and state income tax reporting - quarterly and annual filings. Submits quarterly corporate income tax estimated payments.
- Manages the collection of audit materials for external auditors
- Provides backup support for the following: quarterly reconciliation of expenses accrued and unpaid, daily processing of payables, quarterly sales tax reporting, annual reporting on unclaimed property, monthly review of public funds accounts and pledging amounts, maintenance of the accounting/inventory of the bank’s prepaid assets, and preparation and distribution of the daily statement pertaining to repurchase agreements
- Consistently demonstrates appropriate interpersonal communication skills with customers, coworkers, and outside vendors.
- Follows all Unison Bank policies and procedures.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
Physical Demands
This is a largely sedentary role. The employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position. The employee is occasionally required to move about inside the office. The employee is regularly required to handle files and documents as well as regularly operate a computer and keyboard. The employee is regularly required to communicate with customers and other staff members and exchange accurate information in these situations. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal and reviewing/inspecting documents.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, regularly working both onsite and offsite after training.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field; 4 years of banking operations experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
