About the Role: 
The Senior Fair Lending Analyst is responsible for supporting the bank’s compliance with Fair Lending and UDAAP laws by analyzing and testing transactions, policies, and procedures. This role involves performing statistical analyses, conducting reviews, and documenting findings to identify compliance issues. The analyst also provides guidance to senior management, prepares reports, and supports training and audit preparations.
 
What You’ll Do:

  • Compliance Monitoring:
    • Analyze and conduct tests of transactions, policies, procedures, and practices.
    • Perform statistical fair lending analysis on various loan products.
    • Conduct UDAAP reviews and fair lending comparative file reviews.
    • Document testing or monitoring to identify compliance issues or deficiencies.
    • Advise senior management on the potential impacts of adverse findings.
    • Monitor and track corrective actions on regulatory issues to final resolution.
  • Regulatory Expertise:
    • Develop subject matter expertise for key regulations.
    • Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures to support compliance initiatives.
    • Provide guidance and instruction to lines of business on Fair Lending and UDAAP.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Manage software related to fair lending analysis.
    • Generate standard and special purpose fair lending data analysis reports and maps for redlining analyses.
    • Prepare periodic reports or dashboards for senior leadership, the Fair Banking Committee, and the Board.
  • Training and Support:
    • Identify potential compliance training areas of concern.
    • Prepare training materials and conduct employee training.
    • Support the Fair Lending Officer in preparing for audits and examinations.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert to answer fair lending and UDAAP questions.
    • Support special projects as necessary.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience:
    • Three to five years in a compliance role or similar experience dealing with federal consumer banking laws and regulations.
    • Experience in loan/deposit operations, underwriting, loan closing, loan processing, loan assistance, lending, or HMDA specialization.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field preferred.
    • Fair Lending certification is a plus.
    • College-level courses in statistics, mathematics, or related fields and 3-5 years of experience in an analytical role are preferred.
  • Required Skills:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and comfortable with learning other programs.
    • Ability to read, interpret, and understand government enforcement actions, laws, and regulations.
    • Accurate, detail-oriented, organized, and possess good time management skills.
    • Reliable, committed, and have a genuine desire to learn and advance.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet established deadlines.
    • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work within tight time constraints.
    • Ability to work as a team player.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Familiarity with Fair Lending and CRA software to extract data needed for analysis.
