About the Role: What You’ll Do:
- Customer Service: Provide efficient, accurate, and high-quality service while maintaining excellent customer relations.
- Transaction Management: Monitor queues, make general ledger entries, and maintain accurate electronic files for funds transfers.
- Compliance: Ensure all wire transfers comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Verification: Originate, verify, and repair domestic, international, and Treasury Management wire transfers.
- Communication: Secure approvals for wire policy exceptions and handle overdraft and out-of-balance conditions.
- Documentation: Review wire agreements and perform call-back verifications.
- Currency Rates: Provide foreign currency rates to branches.
- Error Resolution: Investigate and resolve errors on Consumer International Dodd/Frank transactions.
- Balancing: Balance wire outages on clearing general ledgers and against the Fed.
- Research: Update SWIFT payment tracker and handle wire recalls.
- Fraud Prevention: File SAR referrals and update the BSA/SAR Manager on fraudulent wire investigations.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years’ work experience in a financial institution or related field preferred.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree preferred, but not required.
- Required Skills:
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-risk operations environment with strict deadlines.
- Strong understanding of federal and state banking regulations and bank policies.
- Proficiency in navigating web-based programs and computer functions.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High accuracy and attention to detail, especially with repetitive tasks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and general office equipment.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Willingness to assist others and cross-train within the department.
- Commitment to completing all required compliance training, including BSA/AML training.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in staff management.
- Experience with audits and examinations.
- Data analysis experience is a plus.
Working Environment and Physical Demands
- Location: On-Site Blairsville, GA.
- Schedule: Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Travel: Up to 5% travel required.
