SUMMARY: Our Variable Data Programmers are responsible for designing and developing high-quality, highly variable and dynamic direct mail campaigns utilizing the most innovative technology for some of the nation’s top brands.
As a Variable Data Designer, you will develop complex custom direct marketing campaigns while working in collaboration with internal Client Services teams and Production teams. The ideal candidate can accomplish a document composition, has a meticulous attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, test and document medium to complex applications
• Build direct marketing applications in preparation for submitting to the manufacturing team for production generation
• Execute finished output and supporting documentation for equipment-specific manufacturing requirements
• Manage document assets, including the development and maintenance of project-specific workflow documentation
• Perform quality checks and standard data validation, and troubleshoot issues
• You will partner with team members to understand project requirements and to develop the overall dynamic design and execution of complex institutional and retail financial services marketing communications campaigns.
• You will exhibit critical thinking and analytical problem solving both in troubleshooting production issues as well as in enthusiastically researching, testing, and implementing new product functionality within the variable data print and digital campaign tools
• You will provide production support for peers and internal partners as needed
• Layout and design customer-specific documents within Variable Data Print Software (Quadient) for digital printing, inserting, and match jobs.
• Verify that documents meet USPS mailing requirements and capture personalization, postal preparation, and specific client requirements.
• Mail Merge client data to the laser template.
• Assist clients to help them achieve quality creative pieces for use in their direct marketing.

Education and/or Experience: Adobe Creative Cloud (this includes InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, etc.) – This is important. Quadient. Microsoft Office experience; Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledgeable of direct marketing techniques and tools is preferred.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and to communicate effectively with agents, customers and other employees of the organization. The person must also have excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardizes situations. Work closely with upper management and other departments for support.
