Description
The Sales Apprentice is responsible for executing all functions relating to selling, distribution, brand development, promotion and merchandising of UJBAL’s Chain / Wine / Grocery Division’s wine, non-alcohol and craft beer portfolio in target accounts. The Sales Apprentice will develop deep understanding of UJBAL brands and working knowledge of the wine, non-alcohol and craft beer segment. The Sales Apprentice will work together with Sales Representatives to accomplish UJBAL’s and goals, and develop a strong partnership with target accounts and UJBAL’s sales team to ensure seamless communication.
Qualifications
Must be 21 years or older
High school or vocational school diploma or GED equivalent required
1-3 years of sales experience preferred
Valid driver’s license for applicable state
Valid auto liability insurance for applicable state
Ability to secure and maintain a State Alcohol Sales Permit in accordance with state laws
Responsibilities
Work with sales team members to train and understand all facets of the United sales representative role
Drive to all call points
Perform sales deliveries to accounts
Run vacation routes for sales representatives
Sell new products or programs
Utilize Encompass to bill orders
Build displays in accounts
Merchandise accounts using point of sale material
Work back stock, shelf space, and cold boxes in accounts to ensure product rotation
Build and maintain strong relationships with account management
Build and maintain strong relationships within United with delivery associates, sales representatives, and sales management to work as a team
Perform other duties as assigned
