Summary/Objective:
The Key Account Manager and Business Development role for our OnPoint Automation team is responsible for owning client relations and serving as the strategic advisor and primary point of contact between OnPoint Automation and it’s IT/OT clients. The role primarily involves working with Points of Contact (POCs) and Decision Makers within the client organizations. This role ensures that clients maximize the value of their technology investments, and that technology contributes to their business efficiency and effectiveness. This role also is responsible for business development for our OnPoint team. By using various supporting sales tools as well as experienced colleagues to present and showcase our business effectively in order to help win new business opportunities and ultimately sales.
Essential Functions:
Key Account Management Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for client strategic communications and escalations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client POCs and Decision Makers.
- Act as a trusted advisor and extension of the client's technology leadership team.
- Work with all internal teams to ensure client receives exceptional service.
- Conduct regular Technology Review Meetings with clients.
- Review and discuss technology best practices with clients.
- Identify areas out of alignment with best practices and discuss associated risks and provide recommendations for addressing these risks.
- Review overall account status and gauge client satisfaction (CSAT) and customer experience.
- Prepare and review technology budgets and roadmaps with clients.
- Manage clients service contracts
- Identify areas for other United Electric and OnPoint automation offerings that the client could be utilizing
Business Development Responsibilities
- Establish relationships with Design and Engineering firms, along with General Contractors to bid on greenfield projects
- Research clients for OnPoint Automation to target for their services
- Understand client’s strategic objectives relevant to display and merchandising
- Determine budget holders, decision makers, influencers, supporters
- Establish relationships with new clients and identify areas of their business OnPoint Automation can service
- Build a pipeline of business and service contracts at those accounts

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology, Communications or Business is preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years experience in account management and business development
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience with Operational Technology (ICS IT/OT) and EPMS Systems
- Advanced sales experience with managing key accounts in critical environments
- Extensive experience with IT/OT technologies and EPMS systems
- Ability to learn new technology and software offerings
- Proven track record of developing and executing business development efforts to new clients
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong business acumen to drive transformation and customer outcomes with various software offerings
- Negotiation and project management skills
- Ability to build and cultivate strong, trusting relationships and partnerships, both internally and externally
