Dementia Experience Required
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aides to provide essential support to clients in their homes. We service clients all around Coos County, Port Orford, and Gold Beach. As a Home Care Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals who require assistance with daily living activities. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, particularly for seniors and those with memory-related conditions.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support clients with mobility and physical activities to promote independence.
- Documentation of care provided.
- Observe and report any changes in client condition or behavior to manager.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
- Provide specialized care for clients with dementia or other memory-related conditions.
Experience
- Previous experience in home care, senior care, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with patient observation techniques.
- Experience in providing care for individuals with dementia or memory care needs is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families are essential.
- A compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others are crucial for success in this role.
