Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Newington, CT, 06111
United Methodist Homes, a non-profit senior living organization serving its -140-year mission to provide relationship-centered care, is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate LPN to join our healthcare team in Newington, CT. The LPN will be responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping others.
Shift Available: Full Time 40 hours
Day Shift: 7:30am - 3:30pm, Monday through Friday and every other weekend.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician
- Assist with patient assessments and care planning
- Monitor and record vital signs and other patient data
- Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures
- Provide patient education and support
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
Requirements:
- Current LPN license in the state of Connecticut
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer skills
- Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background check, including physical and drug screen
