Job Description: RN Infection Control Assistant

Location: Shelton, CT, 06484

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented RN Infection Control Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Infection Control Nurse in implementing and maintaining infection control policies and procedures in our healthcare facility.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and implementation of infection control policies and procedures
• Conduct regular infection control audits and assessments
• Monitor and report on infection control trends and outbreaks
• Provide education and training to staff on infection control practices
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective infection control measures are in place
• Assist in the investigation of any suspected or confirmed cases of infection
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of infection control activities

Requirements:

• Current RN license in the state of Connecticut
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in infection control or related field
• Strong knowledge of infection control principles and practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
