Job Title: Electrical SolidWorks Designer

Location: Woburn, MA (100% onsite)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical SolidWorks Designer to join our team for a contract position in Woburn, MA. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience using SOLIDWORKS Electrical and be capable of working with electrical schematics, P&ID interpretations, and loop drawings. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams, while also mentoring other engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Drafting:
• Design and draft general wiring schematics, segment schematics, and loop schematics in SOLIDWORKS Electrical.
• Network Architecture & Layouts:
• Draft network architecture diagrams and detailed layouts using SOLIDWORKS Electrical.
• CAD Library Management:
• Create, manage, and expand the CAD library of hardware components to include more commonly used parts and ensure it is maintained for the team.
• File Management:
• Maintain and manage the electronic CAD filing system on the corporate network for assigned projects.
• Mentorship & Training:
• Mentor and train a team of 4 existing electrical engineers on using SolidWorks Electrical effectively.
• Migration & Conversion:
• Assist with the migration and conversion of 2D DraftSight drawings into SolidWorks Electrical.
• Collaboration:
• Work with the Mechanical Design team to establish connections to the existing library, designs, and Vault system.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency and hands-on experience with SOLIDWORKS Electrical.
• Solid understanding of interpreting P&ID's, electrical schematics, loop drawings, and general arrangement drawings.
• Assertive, proactive, and able to work well in a team environment with a friendly and helpful attitude.
• Strong written, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CSWA-Electrical certification is highly preferred.
