How you’ll contribute Strategize, consult, and implement internally to ensure streamlined activities within the organization based on the priorities of the head of Global Medical Affairs (GMA). Responsible for activities related to assets in development and for preparing GMA for commercial launch activities of pipeline products through strategic planning with cross-functional partners. Enable GMA to meet department goals and objectives through operations management and budget oversight activities. Work with GMA Leadership to communicate GMA goals, objectives, initiatives, challenges, and accomplishments to team members and Unither leadership. Lead and execute GMA involvement in the development of strategic documents and initiatives (e.g. Launch Plans, Medicine Development Plan, etc.) Plan recurring GMA strategy meetings and partner with the head of Global Medical Affairs GMA) to define annual strategic priorities and implement a tactical plan Maintain awareness of relevant external developments (e.g. trial milestones and outcomes, publications, etc.) that may influence GMA strategy or tactics and identify opportunities for action Manage budget, communications, and operational excellence (BCOE) team activities, including grant and sponsorship submissions processing, purchase requesting, invoice processing, and budget forecasting Develop annual BCOE goals and objectives, exploring new areas for BCOE contribution within GMA Develop and monitor a monthly and quarterly performance tracker to assess and disseminate information regarding ongoing GMA initiatives Anticipate GMA project risks and identify appropriate mitigation strategies, maintaining high-level and detailed timelines to ensure GMA alignment with asset timelines Develop and maintain a system for KOL-related activities such as mapping, touch points, and engagements Work with GMA functional heads to prepare presentation of strategic plans and progress towards goals Engage with Unither family of companies to ensure that their needs are understood and built into GMA strategies and tactics Explain GMA and strategic planning process to all new stakeholders to forge relationships and develop collaborations Manage day-to-day operational communications related to assets in development Conduct research and provide valuable background for special projects as needed to support decisions regarding clinical research, consultancy, and GMA tactical planning and execution Ensure strategic and tactical alignment across GMA through the GMA Leadership Team meetings, cross-functional meetings, and the dissemination of information from Executive Leadership Partner with GMA Leadership to optimize our people operations by recognizing training needs, disseminating departmental communications, identifying opportunities to implement DEI strategies, and developing of culture building events Undertake unexpected and additional activities as requested to support changing business needs Explore new opportunities to optimize organization and departmental processes Maintain and grow technical knowledge by attending and participating in applicable company-sponsored or external trainings and meetings All other duties as required For this role you will need Minimum Requirements Master’s Degree in scientific, business. or other related field 3 years of experience in Medical Affairs within a pharmaceutical company Possess basic understanding of cardiology and pulmonary disease areas, with ability to understand the disease area content in order to maximize on deliverables and contribution Maintain comprehensive proficient with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and associated applications Confident, outgoing and credible individual to represent Medical Affairs both internally and externally Strong customer focus with the ability to actively listen to customer needs and expectations Exceptional ability to partner across functions with team-focused attitude Self-motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task with delivering high quality work Ability to manage their own work, with ability to prioritize, plan and organize work assignments while working under strict timelines Ability to develop business solutions to complex problems Manage project execution by persistent follow-up as needed Preferred Qualifications 1 years of project management experience At United Therapeutics, you’ll realize quickly that it is not an ordinary place to work!
