What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiovascular Technician - Medicine position at University of Maryland Faculty Physicians, Inc?
Assists in the performance of diagnostic cardiovascular procedures such as EHS, EKG, and Holter monitors; prepares patients, explains procedures to patients, educates patients on medication management; communicates test results under the direction of the Physician; and other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Performs and interprets EHS under the direct supervision of supervisors.
- Review charts prior to beginning test. Discusses concerns with physicians.
- Educates, listens, and responds to patients' needs during testing.
- Assists with back-office duties as needed within the practice.
- Communicates patient results under physician.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Knowledge in EKG’s
- Certification preferred
- CPR (BLS) certification is required
