Registrar Systems Technician

Position Summary
This position provides functional and technical support for the Registrar and Academic Success Center offices. As an integral part of the degree audit team, position responsibilities include managing the internal audit coding to reflect annual curriculum changes, entry of approved exceptions, and testing for software upgrades and feature enhancements.
The position also provides support for technical projects improving the services of the Registrar and Academic Success Center offices as well as assisting with academic reporting and requests for student data. During peak admission periods, the position will assist with the transfer articulation process to ensure the accurate and timely articulation of transfer credits.

The role requires independent work, effective collaboration with other campus offices, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of professionalism.

Minimum Education/Experience/Skills
  • Associate’s Degree in Computer Programming, or
  • Bachelor’s degree with some computer related coursework from an appropriately accredited university; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Journey level requires an additional six months experience.
  • Advanced level requires an additional one year of experience.



Preferred Education/Experience/Skills
Experience with the following programs/software:
  • Banner Student
  • DegreeWorks
  • Argos
  • Excel


In addition the preferred candidate will have:
  • Knowledge of University/Higher Education practices and policies.
  • Knowledge of FERPA regulations.
  • Strong communication skills

Work Schedule and Hours
Typical office hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm. Hybrid work schedule of in-person/remote may be available. Occasional time on evenings and weekends may be needed to meet the needs of the department.
