Description
Univista Insurance is looking for a talented SQL Server Administrator to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server instances and associated software.
- Monitor database performance, identify issues, and implement optimizations to improve efficiency.
- Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies to ensure data protection and availability.
- Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data and manage user access.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures for various applications.
- Assist in database design and architecture for new projects and enhancements.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including data migrations and upgrades.
- Collaborate with application developers to support database-related application development.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
- Create and maintain documentation related to database configurations, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a SQL Server DBA or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server database management and administration.
- Proficiency in T-SQL programming and database scripting.
- Experience with backup and recovery solutions, performance tuning, and monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with database security best practices and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish is a must
