Responsibilities -
- ANNUAL PLAN REDEMPTION: Redeem the location annual booking plan through subordinate organizations and self.
- MANAGEMENT: Delegate and organize work of others by position description and procedures; assure subordinates accept responsibility and agree on assigned annual written objectives. Effectively audit performance of subordinates and follow-up.
- EXTERNAL / CUSTOMER RELATIONS: Build rapport and productive working relationships with customers, vendors and other outside agents. Effectively represent company's interest to outside agents to maximize profits. Promptly address customer concerns to assure resolution and maintain long-term positive relationships.
- INTERNAL RELATIONS: Build and maintain rapport and positive working relations with all Upchurch Services and inter-company staff to resolve problems, exploit opportunities and maximize profits. The incumbent shall work well under pressure; meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines. The incumbent shall at all times demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
- TRAINING: Motivate and train subordinates. Develop and implement programs to improve skill deficiencies of individual subordinates and subordinate organizations as a group.
- ANNUAL PLANNING: Develop annual branch booking plan(s) according to established procedures and assure compliance with approved budget.
- SALES SKILLS: Direct the branch sales force to achieve annual booking goals. Participate with the sales force in the development and implementation of sales campaigns, programs and procedures. Support the branch sales force in the use of Upchurch Services sales tools.
- MARKET DEVELOPMENT: Evaluate current market (i.e. market share, geography, customer service mix, etc.) Identify new markets. Develop and execute a plan for market penetration which assures attainment of booking goals.
- SYSTEMS AND PROGRAMS: Regularly review sales policy, procedures and methods. Measure effectiveness of existing programs, identify problems or weaknesses and establish new methods or corrective action. Establish policies and procedures necessary for internal administration.
- TIME MANAGEMENT: Follow good time management practices. Train, direct and evaluate the sales force in time management when necessary. Assign goals to subordinates and measure performance.
- SURVEYS AND PRICING: Ensure pricing policies are followed. Audit surveys, estimates, pricing and proposals to insure they meet company policy and profit goals. Train, direct and evaluate the branch sales force to properly estimate and price all agreements.
- MECHANICAL SYSTEMS KNOWLEDGE: Have a sufficient understanding of mechanical systems to accurately appraise and evaluate general conditions and recommend solutions.
- DOCUMENTATION: Train, direct and evaluate the branch sales force in the preparation of prompt, clear, concise and complete documentation and paperwork. Audit booking packages and company paperwork to assure quality.
- CREDIT AND COLLECTIONS: Understand credit policy. Feedback information and observations to the company to minimize risk exposure. Understand collection policy and interface with customers to resolve collection issues and assure prompt payment.
Qualifications -
- REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Basic understanding of HVAC, general office procedures, and record keeping functions. Knowledge of all related computer applications. Basic understanding of mechanical systems and their operation.
- EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Five years of related sales and sales management or other related experience.
- SKILLS/ABILITIES: Well organized, accurate and attentive to detail. Excellent communication and public relation abilities. Strong typing and computer application skills. Insurable driving record. Ability to assist and support others.
