Job Title: Solar Service Technician
Location: Vidalia, GA
Position Type: 6 Months W2 contract (with possible extension)
Shift timing: Morning (8 AM to 4:30 PM)
Job Overview:
As a Residential Solar Service Technician, responsible for the independent completion of service-related tasks for residential solar systems. This role involves electrical troubleshooting, solar system commissioning, remote monitoring setup, and process improvements. Work primarily independently and occasionally with senior technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, troubleshoot, and repair residential solar systems, ensuring 100% customer satisfaction.
- Complete system commissioning, perform maintenance, repairs, and module cleaning.
- Engage with customers and provide clear, professional communication.
- Execute emergency repairs with 24-hour response to system failures as needed.
- Travel within the region with overnight stays required based on project location.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- 3 years of residential solar installation experience and 1 year of O&M experience.
- Proficiency in using multimeters and Sun Eye, with a solid foundation in solar electrical systems.
- Strong customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift 80 lbs and work on rooftops, in confined spaces, and outdoor conditions.
Preferred:
- NABCEP Certification, experience with solar monitoring systems (e.g., Enphase), and inverter maintenance.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $27.00 - $33.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
