What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cloud Architect position at UPSLOPE ADVISORS, INC?
UpSlope Advisors is looking for a rockstar Cloud Architect to join our team! This person will provide crucial support to the Customer Care Support Center (CCSC) Desk Support and Management services for a local government agency.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on the adoption of cloud services and technologies.
- Design secure and scalable cloud architectures that meet government security standards and compliance requirements.
- Lead the implementation and deployment of cloud solutions, including infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and optimization.
- Implement and enforce security best practices in cloud architectures, ensuring compliance with government security standards.
- Manage and optimize cloud costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide technical expertise.
- Implement monitoring and performance management tools to ensure the health and performance of cloud-based systems.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration details, and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certification in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect).
- Strong understanding of government security standards and compliance requirements.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proven experience as a cloud architect, preferably in a government contracting environment.
