What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audiology Assistant position at Upson Regional Medical Center?
The Audiology Assistant performs basic clerical functions such as scheduling services, completing pre-authorizations, and verification of insurance eligibility. Supports the Audiologist in performing checks on hearing aids, maintaining inventory of supplies, checking functions on equipment, instructing patients on proper ear hygiene, and assisting with treatment programs. Performs routine tests with patients under the direction of the Audiologist. Interact with vendors and manufacturers related to equipment orders and repairs.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a related certificate program as a Certified Audiology Assistant. Three or more years in a medical office setting or similar customer service related experience.
Prefer more than three years experience in an ENT office/business office environment. Prefer experience with insurance, medical coding/billing, or patient financial services experience.
