What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Laboratory Tech position at Upson Regional Medical Center?
Analyzes various laboratory procedures to obtain data for physicians to use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases. May be called upon to draw blood on patients of all ages, from neonates to elderly; knows the importance of age specific needs as defined in the age specific competency checklist.
Requirements: Successful completion of an Associates or Bachelors degree program, Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), AMT (American Medical Technologists) or AAB (American Associations of Bioanalysis) or equivalent.
