Job Summary
Ursa Space is looking for a skilled IT Support Technician.The ideal candidate will feel comfortable supporting a wide variety of staff, including engineers, scientists, analysts, salespeople, and more. They will also have some experience managing user workstations, mobile devices, and IT services in an enterprise environment. Additionally, they will have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Lastly, they will be driven to learn and continuously improve their skills in IT.
Duties of this position require an in-office presence at our headquarters in Ithaca, NY. This position is non-exempt and is eligible for overtime pay and will report to the Sr. IT Systems Engineer. Also, in being on this team the position will be exposed to and have the opportunity to work with devops, cloud, security, and compliance operations.

Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for IT support within the organization
- Maintain Ursa Space’s inventory of workstations and mobile devices
- Create and maintain user-facing IT support documentation
- Monitor device patching and deploy software to user workstations using Ursa Space’s MDM platforms
- Manage user accounts in Ursa Space’s various IT services
- Investigate alerts in Ursa Space’s EDR, MDM, and Vulnerability Management solutions
- Help to maintain and improve Ursa Space’s security posture
- Manage user onboarding and offboarding
- Learn new technologies and be curious
- Based on the needs of the company, you may be required to work occasional nights and weekends
- All other duties as assigned
- 2-year degree in Information Systems or related degree and/or relevant experience
- Effectively prioritize and manage concurrent tasks
- Be resourceful and independent, with the ability to ask for help when necessary
- Successfully communicate with all levels of the organization

- Ticketing systems (like Jira, ConnectWise, ZenDesk, etc)
- Scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Comfortable working in a CLI environment
- Cloud Services Management (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- Common software development tools like Git, Docker, Anaconda, etc
- $25-$30/hour depending on skills and experience
- Compensation range includes base salary only
