Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; technical certificate preferred but not required; supplemented by 2 or more years experience programming and operating manual or CNC machines in a manufacturing environment; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
- 2 or more years of experience programming Swiss style CNC machines (Citizen experience preferred)
- Knowledge of lathe CNC controls, including multi-axis machine centers and ability to learn and adapt to ever changing technology
- Knowledge of precision measuring equipment and the application of such instruments, including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, indicators
- Detailed knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an understanding of geometric tolerances and dimensions
- Detailed knowledge of programming segments and corresponding operations
- Working knowledge of various tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars and inserts used on various machines
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO as it pertains to the job
- Knowledge of basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication
- Skilled in the use of computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook and Excel, CAD/CAM software.
- Ability to clearly communicate and understand information in English, both orally and in writing
Daily Responsibilities:
- Setup and operation of various types of Automatic and Manual machinery
- Inspect and monitor work quality using inspection equipment and department procedures
- Work with close tolerances
- Operate multiple machines
- Perform tool/offset changes
- Perform minor program changes
- Physical Requirements:
- 100% Standing
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Pushing and pulling up to 100 lbs.
