What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customs Entry Writer position at US Trade Logistics?
US Trade Logistics, a comprehensive logistics and transportation solutions company headquartered in St. Paul, is looking for a part-time remote Entry Writer. This position would be working together with US Trade Logistics’ Licensed Customs Broker to assist importers in clearing their import shipments through US Customs. This position would also be the backup to the Remote Warehouse Manager. Although this position is remote, applicants must live within the greater Brainerd Lakes MN area in order to receive adequate oversight and training if a position is offered.
This position involves:
1. Data Entry
2. Communication with Customers, Foreign Vendors, Shipping Agents and Government Agencies
3. Preparation and Transmittal of Importer Security Filings to US Customs
4. Preparation and Transmittal of Entry Summaries and Cargo Releases to US Customs
5. Preparation of Customized Reports for Customers
6. Remote Warehouse Management of incoming and outgoing shipments.
There is the possibility of eventually transitioning to full-time in the future. No prior experience is required, as all training will be provided, but applicants with the following qualities and skills are desired:
