We are currently hiring a Flight Test Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead to join our team in Savannah, GA.
As a Flight Test Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead is responsible for overseeing a cross-functional team across various engineering disciplines to plan, execute, and analyze flight tests for an aircraft or aerospace system, ensuring all aspects of the test program meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives while maintaining safety standards throughout the flight test process
Essential Flight Test IPT Lead duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Lead and manage a diverse team of engineers from various disciplines including systems, avionics, structures, performance, and data analysis to achieve flight test goals.
- Develop comprehensive flight test plans, including test objectives, test parameters, data collection strategies, and risk mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with program managers, design engineers, certification authorities, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment on test objectives and timelines.
- Oversee data collection during flight tests, analyze results, interpret findings, and generate detailed reports documenting test outcomes.
- Identify and troubleshoot problems encountered during flight tests, propose solutions, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Monitor and manage the budget and schedule for the flight test program, ensuring timely completion within allocated resources.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures throughout the flight test campaign.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- 8 years’ experience in flight test engineering, preferably with a focus on complex aircraft systems or specific test areas like performance, stability, or avionics
- Deep understanding of aircraft systems, flight test methodologies, data analysis techniques, and aerospace engineering principles.
- Proven ability to lead complex projects, manage timelines, and track progress against key milestones.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP system.
