USI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated, energetic Construction Project Manager / Inspector to join our team in Laporte / Northwest Indiana. The qualified applicant will provide Construction Inspection experience for LPA and INDOT projects and will be an organized individual who is ready to step into a project management position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Familiar with company, client, government and industry standards.
- Follows verbal and written instructions
- Observes and monitors construction for compliance with contract documents and approved shop drawings / material submittals.
- Records field observations and determines acceptability of construction work performed.
- Monitors contractor's quality control and verifies construction conforms to contractor's quality control plan.
- Makes field measurements, computations and records of acceptable work.
- Prepares reports outlining the work performed and the quality of completed and acceptable for payment. Calculates the quantity of acceptable completed work for payment.
- Reviews and verifies contractor's payment applications, proposals, and change order requests.
- Coordinates construction activities with owner and assists Project Manager with client on construction related issues.
- Prepares and maintains project records in accordance with the company's, client's, and government's standards.
- Coordinates or conducts quality assurance testing, inspections and surveys.
- Other related duties, as assigned.
