Utah Valley University is Hiring a Library Aide I - Circulation Services (Part-time, Variable Hour) Near Fulton, UT

Join our team! The Fulton Library at Utah Valley University is hiring a Library Aide in our Circulation Services department.The library’s Circulation Services department is a major hub of the library’s services. We circulate the library’s regular book and media collections, extensive equipment collection, and the high use textbook Reserves collection. We maintain the employment of over 20 part-time and student library aides who provide helpful, knowledgeable front-line service. We help and direct knowledge-seeking patrons to the services and/or specialists they seek.
This position is required to work the following schedule:
Summer semester:

Monday to Friday: 5:15pm to 9:15pm

Fall/Spring semesters:

Monday to Friday: 8:15pm to 12:15am

(40%) Assists library patrons at the circulation desk(s).
(20%) Assesses patron information needs.
(15%) Checks materials in and out.
(10%) Handles minor fine and fee transactions.
(15%) Performs other special projects and opportunities.

High School Diploma or GED required.
Preferred Qualifications:
One-year experience in related duties.

Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
Skills in customer service, public relations, verbal communication, and basic computer with aptitude to learn specialized software and hardware.
Skills in organization.
Detail-oriented, ability to work with others and follow rules and expectations.
