Our Assembly Department is looking for a full-time Assembler in our Mankato facility to help build and test manual, automatic, and robotic machines for the semi-conductor industry. As an Assembler, you would be responsible for using a variety of tools and skills to build, modify, and assemble components, sub-assemblies and full machines for processing and packaging equipment. About V-TEK, Inc.: V-TEK, Inc. is a local manufacturer of precision packaging, inspection, and bond testing equipment for electronics, automotive, aerospace, consumer electronic, and medical manufacturing. Our Assembly department supports company operations by building manual, semi-automatic, fully automatic, and robotic precision processing and packaging equipment for use world-wide in the semi-conductor industry.
This is a full-time position that works office hours Monday through Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
· Build and modify equipment and subassemblies, working from assembly drawings, schematics, wiring and pneumatic diagrams, procedures, and instructions
· Install components and parts on base units, circuit boards and other units utilizing a variety of hand and power tools and equipment to complete tasks such as; wiring, electrical, and mechanical assembly
· Route and attach wirers and connectors from circuitry and controller components to connect assembly equipment with power and controls sources
· Perform visual and functional inspections and tests of the machine and subassemblies to ensure specifications are met.
· Work with Engineering team to improve processes and drawings
· Provide ideas and feedback for process improvements to manager
Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma or GED; Mechatronics Degree or relevant college degree is a plus
· Experience in assembly-manufacturing environment, automotive environment, or similar work experience displaying ability to operate tools and work with machinery concepts
· Ability to successfully read, interpret and create from prints, drawings, or schematics
· Basic computer skills (Windows and Office)
· Ability to manipulate and use small components, tools, and calibrated measuring equipment
· Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time
· Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
