Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented person to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth clinic operations, providing exceptional patient service, and maintaining efficient communication between patients, providers, and staff. The ideal candidate will have experience in the medical field, a strong understanding of insurance processes, and knowledge of radiology exams.
Responsibilities:Patient Intake & Scheduling:
- Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Prepare and verify patient intake paperwork, ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, coordinating with providers as needed.
- Obtain and verify insurance information, ensuring eligibility and coverage details are accurate.
Administrative & Communication Duties:
- Answer phone calls, provide information, and direct inquiries appropriately.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and healthcare facilities regarding appointments, reports, and insurance matters.
- Fax and electronically transmit reports to referring providers in a timely manner.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
General Office Support:
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, and organizing patient records.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk and waiting area.
- Support the imaging team with additional clerical duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting required.
- Familiarity with radiology exams and medical terminology preferred.
- Knowledge of health insurance processes, including verification and authorization preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with medical scheduling software, electronic health records (EHR), and office equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Professional and compassionate demeanor when assisting patients.
