Job Title: Radiology Scheduler
Job Responsibilities:
- Schedule and coordinate appointments and procedures for MRI, CT, Ultrasound, X-ray, and Imaging C-arm procedures.
- Manage and update the schedule to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Communicate with technologists, referring providers, and patients to confirm appointments, ensure proper documentation, and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Utilize phone systems and computer software to input and retrieve scheduling information.
- Understand medical insurance and authorizations and recognize study needs.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns regarding appointments.
- Check patients in and acquire proper documentation.
- Fax reports to referring providers.
- Accurately assemble patient charts.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a scheduling role within a healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of insurance providers.
- Familiarity with phone systems and scheduling software.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
