Domestic Personal Assistant

Location: Orange City, IA

Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Partnering closely with a House Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our home is both delightful and organized. Responsibilities:

• Household Management
  • Collaborate with 2-3 part-time housekeepers, making every corner of our home feel special.
  • Tackle tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, and caring for items that have their own stories to tell.
  • Check linens and household items regularly, ensuring comfort and coziness.
  • Ensure our space is always “guest ready” – a place we are proud to call home.
• Laundry and Organization
  • Share in laundry, giving TLC to both daily wear and those special occasion outfits.
  • Tidy up spaces, find new organization hacks and ensure our rooms always beckon for a restful break.
  • Dress beds with clean linen, turning them into cozy havens at the end of the day.
• Nutrition and Meal Coordination
  • Embark on weekly grocery runs, keeping our home stocked with all the good stuff.
  • Whip up meals delighting the family with both nutrition and taste.
  • Become the master of the kitchen domain organizing the pantry and keeping food safety topnotch.
• Administrative and Personal Assistant Tasks
  • Occasionally jot down a letter, help map out travel itineraries when needed and keep track of household must haves.
  • Manage the mail, ensure smooth returns and build strong ties with our vendors.
  • Be our go to for an online purchase or the fun task of planning gifts and sending out cards.
  • Add your magic touch to small gatherings, turning them into memorable events.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the organization.
• Examples of tasks
  • Jazz up spaces with bi-weekly floral arrangements or a new décor idea.
  • Quench the thirst of our indoor/outdoor plants, adding life to our rooms.
  • Put on the planner hat for occasional events, making them the talk of the town.
  • Keep our vehicles gleaming and ready to roll.
  • Brainstorm and execute thoughtful gifting ideas, ensuring every present is wrapped with love.
  • Safeguard a respectful and private atmosphere for everyone.
• Physical Requirements
  • Comfort in light physical tasks such as bending, lifting and moving around the house.
  • Ability to occasionally lift items roughly up to 50 lbs.
• Requirements
  • High School diploma or certification. If you have a history in a similar role is a plus but we are eager to train someone who is the right fit. Certified Nursing Assistant (CAN) or nursing degree a plus.
  • Tech-friendly, knowing your way around basic tools and platforms.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and a trusty vehicle.
  • Clear background check and legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Positive references from past roles.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Compensation and Benefits
  • $20.00 / hour , negotiable with experience
