Van Valer Law Firm, LLP is seeking a Part-Time or Full-Time Receptionist/Legal Assistant. The successful candidate is well-organized, energetic, and possesses excellent communication skills. The Receptionist/Legal Assistant performs a variety of legal, clerical and administrative duties, thus, the ability to multi-task and support multiple attorneys is a must. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, reliable, and works well independently and with others.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Answering phone calls using a multi-line phone system
- Opening and closing case files
- Greeting clients and vendors
- Scheduling and calendaring appointments
- Sorting and scanning mail and client documents
- Processing payments
- Ordering office supplies
- Communicating with clients, potential clients and Courts
- Preparing pleadings, correspondence & case documents
Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with a multi-line phone system
- Ability to type 75 words per minute
The full-time option for this position is M-F from 8:00am-5:00pm with an hour for lunch from 12:00-1:00pm. The part-time option is M, W, F from 8:00am-5:00pm with an hour for lunch from 12:00-1:00pm.
