Position Summary

The Senior Accountant position includes a wide range of accounting duties, including preparation of journal entries, variance analysis, financial reporting, tax support, and audit support. This position is also required to lead specific accounting related projects.

Position Responsibilities:

• Monthly closing duties such as preparation of journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger account reconciliations
• Parent company reporting duties including monthly results upload and quarterly reporting
• Coordination of subsidiary accounting
• Assistance with property, federal, state, local and business tax information
• Quarterly and year-end audit support including gathering data and responding to auditor inquiries
• Annual financial statement and footnote preparation
• JSOX audit responsibilities including documenting and testing procedures
• Other miscellaneous accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required

Skills

• Ability to perform independently and under pressure of time constraints with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to develop strong partnerships across a multi-layered organization
• Attention to detail
• Well-organized
• Extensive Excel spreadsheet development skills is required (as demonstrated in testing)

Experience

• Minimum of four years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience in any of the following areas is preferred: internal audit, SOX or JSOX audit, corporate tax preparation, financial reporting for income taxes, or financial reporting for foreign subsidiaries

Nonessential Skills and Experience:

CPA, MBA or equivalent is preferred. Experience with Sage software is preferred.
