What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Student Services position at Vector Careers?
I'm looking for a strong Director of Student Services . Must have experience in the for-profit / proprietary college sector. Candidate will coordinate, manage, and supervise activities of Student Services personnel and will be engaged in the process of assisting and serving students. This is a face paced campus where they enroll and graduate students every 4-6 weeks depending on the program . Must have strong people skills, leadership skills, and office skills as well as a driver, go-getter personality.
You need to have at least 5 years of experience as a Director of Student Services or a Director of Education overseeing Student Services in the For-Profit / Proprietary college educational sector.
Main duties include but are not limited to.
- Leads retention efforts for the school and ensures retention budgets are achieved.
- Manages the Ability to Benefit program and ensures all appropriate regulations and procedures are followed.
- Calculates, Tracks and Advises all students regarding Standards of Academic Process
- Hire, train, conduct performance reviews, supervise, and support all student services staff.
- Develops and maintains programs for student assistance in areas relating to housing, academic and person counselling, transportation, and other relevant coping skills.
- Completes all reports as directed.
- Identify potential problems and solutions through effective analysis of reports.
Bachelor’s degree preferred with at least 10 years of experience in the field preferred.
