Function: Solution Architect Reports To: Kasten Senior Manager, Systems Engineer The Solution Architect is responsible for working closely with the field sales department and to help inform, educate and influence partners, resellers and end users of our product offerings. You will be high energy, enthusiastic and have the ability to manage changing priorities in a hyper growth cloud native business unit environment. You will assist in driving growth across set of global customers in your defined country/territory. As a trusted customer advocate, the solutions architect will help organizations understand best practices around advanced Kubernetes environment, and how to migrate existing workloads. You will be responsible for the overall design and mapping of prospect’s business requirements. This will include working with clients to assess current state processes and tools, identify Kasten by Veeam platform solution options, define solution requirements, define and scope/estimate integration requirements, and develop overall architecture points of view. The ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical to a solutions architect. You will regularly take part in deep-dive education and design exercises. Responsibilities include the ability to present Kasten by Veeam messaging to varying numbers and levels of decision makers. You will be responsible for the creation of content (architecture design, blog post, presentation…) and delivery of high level demonstrations to support Veeam messaging. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, technically competent Kasten by Veeam Solution Architect with an ability to partner with other groups within the sales and support organization to close sales. The role requires strengths and a background in defining architectural strategies to guide customers. Responsibilities Scope and help deliver Proof of Concept / Proof of Value engagements with prospects. Support lead generation activities such as events, webinars, user groups, etc. Author or otherwise contribute to Kasten by Veeam customer-facing publications such as white papers Partner with the account management team, formulate and execute a strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of Kasten K10 Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using Kasten K10. Lead design discussions including technical workshops, scoping and solutioning discussions. Capture and share best-practice knowledge with the community Work closely with the sales department to secure new partners and customers Work closely with Product Management to provide customer feedback Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud native advocates Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support Ability to travel 25% to 50% Qualifications Demonstrated solution sales and/or technical presales experience preferred Industry-based experience with data protection technologies Industry based experience in storage, network and Kubernetes technologies Ability to troubleshoot and reproduce issues Experience working with monitoring tools and frameworks Experience in data life-cycle management with IT audit requirements Ability to work independently with limited direction in a fast-paced environment; must be a high-energy, motivated self-starter and be able to learn new technologies quickly Ability to adapt to changes in roles and responsibilities Excellent time management skills required Deployment of software solutions into complex environments Deep level understanding of Veeam and/or similar technologies Excellent verbal and written communication skills Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers. Industry relevant professional certifications is desirable : CKA is a minimum, CKAD is a plus You have what it takes if you have… Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, related field of study or equivalent work experience 3 years of lead experience as Solution Architect in the architecture or application space, with a track record of increasing responsibilities. Good team player with excellent communication skills that is able to influence stakeholders to move in the right direction. Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud. Experience with front office systems including CRM, CPQ, CLM, PRM and customer success tools. Significant hands-on implementation and /or consulting experience. Experience with software development processes, concepts and tools. High EQ: the ability to “read the room” with clients and team alike. Confidence: a sound thought leader with a strong desire to generously share knowledge. Tenacity: proven ability to dig into unfamiliar territories to solve complex problems. Team-oriented: strong preference towards collaboration over solitude. Proven experience providing oversight for multiple, concurrent IT software development deliverables. Proven experience managing the evaluation, selection, delivery and performance of new technology solution providers and offerings. Thorough understanding of modern application development frameworks. Demonstrated understanding and familiarity with standard IT process and application development methodologies. Proven experience leveraging and adopting software technology design standards, processes, methodologies, tools, and maturity models. Knowledge of industry trends, market forces, regulatory environment and business strategy; must be able to translate business strategy into architecture requirements.
