Maintenance Technician I

Venture Metals is a fast-growing, metal recycling company looking to grow our operations team with an Industrial Maintenance Technician.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This position consists of repairing and maintaining all production and facility equipment, installing new equipment, and performing preventive maintenance tasks.

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and make improvements
• Multi-craft/multi-skilled with expertise in electrical, electrical controls, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulics and basic fabrication.
• Generate and maintain log of all equipment repairs/maintenance
• Ability to identify necessary parts for repairs
• Ability to use computers/internet to research and source part/equipment replacements
• Ability to work in multiple positions, including but not limited to kneeling, bending, crouching, elevated in lifts, for extended duration's.
• Ability to work safely.
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback for coaching.
• Ability to work various shifts

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5 years of experience of related industrial troubleshooting, maintenance and repair experience on heavy equipment, motors including electrical repair.
• Balances team and individual responsibilities. Able to build consensus.
• Works with integrity and ethically; Upholds organizational values.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Valid State Driver’s License

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand; climb; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Non-climate-controlled production facility
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
