Overview
*** Quality Inspector / Final Inspection ***
Job Description: Seeking two Quality Inspectors to be based on-site supporting a final inspection program at a customers facility in Edinburgh. The desired candidate will have previous experience in working in an inspection role, performing visual inspection to engineering drawings, customer purchase order, industry standards and specifications.
The support will include:
- Visual, documentation and packaging inspection
- Review completeness of manufacturing documentation (e.g. CofCs, routers, etc.)
- Part serialisation / labelling checks
- Document inspections, preparing non-conformance reports as necessary
- Work with customer Quality Engineers on issues as they arise
- Maintain quality documentation and SAP in relation to the activities performed
Experience requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 3-years previous experience within an aerospace/defence manufacturing environment
- Demonstratable knowledge and experience of interpreting engineering drawings
- Have a strong eye for detail, being able to identify issues visually, as well as being able to understand CofCs etc.
- Knowledge / experience of AS9100 standards highly advantageous
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
- Previous experience of SAP advantageous
- Ability to prioritise workload, and meet stringent deadlines.
- Based in a commutable distance of Edinburgh
The role falls inside IR35.
