Purpose:
The Dispatch, Equipment, and Fleet Operations Manager is responsible for planning, directing, managing, coordinating, and supervising acquisition, assignment, utilization, maintenance, repair, replacement, and disposal of equipment and fleet vehicles. This position also serves as the primary company contact regarding dispatch, equipment, fleet vehicles and their operations.
Scope:
Provides direct supervision to dispatch, equipment, and fleet managers. Functions as an advisor to the CEO, President, and Divisional Vice Presidents. Sets goals and objectives for managers to achieve operational excellence. Analyzes and resolves problems by drawing from prior experiences. Responsible for the fiscal management and human resources of the department. Is the subject matter expert regarding dispatch, equipment, and fleet. Exercises judgement within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action. Supervises staff to ensure accountability in meeting departmental goals and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
· High school diploma or G.E.D.
· 8 years of related experience in dispatch, equipment, and fleet management and maintenance or other operations-based industry.
· 2 years of experience in supervising
· Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of equipment and vehicle maintenance
· Maintains industry-leading knowledge in and offers suggestions / solutions for continuous improvement
· Understanding of safety, quality, and compliance requirements
· Highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills; a team player, yet also able to work independently when necessary
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
· Prior experience using a CMMS or FMMS Solution
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
